Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) is the only organization in Washington State dedicated solely to strengthening the rights and well being of low-income immigrants and refugees. NWIRP's legal services are critical to helping immigrants and refugees navigate the complexities of the United States immigration system so they can apply for asylum or other forms of relief from removal.

Following is an overview of the services we provide to clients:
- Asylum: We protect human rights by representing those fleeing persecution in their quest for asylum.
- Child Services: Through the Immigrant Child Advocacy Project (ICAP) we protect unaccompanied abused, abandoned and neglected immigrant children (without parents or guardians).
- Domestic Violence: We assist immigrant survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and other violent crimes in gaining lawful status in the United States.
- Family Unity: We promote family unity and stability by assisting with family visa applications, and representing family members in deportation proceedings.
- Adjustment Relief Act (NACARA): We assist Central American asylum applicants who are ABC class members with applications for legal permanent residency in the United States.
- Citizenship: We assist immigrants many of whom are elderly and / or persons with disabilities attain United States citizenship.
- Legal Orientation: We provide legal orientation sessions to all immigrants detained at the Northwest Detention Center.
- Deportation/Removal Defense: We offer representation in immigration court to those facing deportation/removal.
We also support immigrants and refugees through the following services:
- Advocacy and Education: We provide critical immigration-related advice and information to immigrants, other community members, and a large network of service providers and attorneys.
- Impact Litigation: We represent immigrants in the federal courts to affect immigration laws on a national level.
