As you may know, I’m a supporter of Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP), a non-profit organization that defends and advances the legal rights of thousands of immigrants every year, and is, right now, coordinating representation for detained mothers and fathers separated from their children at the border over the past month. NWIRP helps keep families together, protects survivors of violence, and helps immigrants access new opportunities to work and pursue education.
