NWIRP’s Annual Gala Celebrates Courage, Resilience, and Hope
In contrast with hearing news like a top government official claiming that toddlers can represent themselves alone while facing deportation or that another political candidate has made anti-immigrant comments, we need to come together and celebrate stories of courage, resilience, and hope.
- Teenage brothers who fled gang violence in Honduras and started a new life with their family in Burien, WA
- A woman from Thailand who didn’t find out she was undocumented until she was 18.
- A woman from China who – after being locked up in Tacoma’s Northwest Detention Center for two years – is now living safely on her own and thriving as an artist
In addition to celebrating our mission, the gala – as always – will include great food and entertainment. Join us for a delicious dinner, music by Orquesta La Grande, and a live auction with special items such as a stunning oil painting by Peruvian artist, Ernesto Gutierrez, a ten-night stay at a historic mansion in San Miguel de Allende, and a unique meal with NWIRP’s Seattle staff.
If you haven’t yet purchased your tickets, now is your chance! We look forward to celebrating with you and over 500 of our friends at NWIRP’s most memorable night of the year.
